Luc Dooms
Luc holds a Master of Physics (1985) and Computer Sciences (1993), but started his professional career as a physics researcher at the KULeuven. After leaving the academic world he fully dived into ICT and acquired in depth knowledge on software engineering, artificial intelligence, networking and network security. In 1998 he co-founds C-CURE, and leads it from an innovative start-up to a notorious, trusted and reliable cyber security partner on the European market. In June 2010, C-CURE was acquired by telecom giant Telenet and was merged and integrated into the Telenet Solutions Division. Today Luc uses his expertise in boards and committees and also co-invests in early stage innovative start-ups.
When did you join AGIO Capital and how did you get in touch with us?
I joined Agio Capital in June 2020, during the covid crisis.
Why did you join us?
The idea that was presented to me to build up a guerilla finance boutique specialized in funding innovative businesses, looked very appealing to me.
What do you like about your job, what’s your favorite part?
Closing the gap between technology and finance. Making investors look behind the pitch deck. Act as a no-bullshit filter.
What are your future ambitions?
To work on technologically interesting deals and making a difference towards the investors with a clear technological vision.
