Proud to have supported 2 of the top 10 companies in capital raising

Despite the corona pandemic, Belgian start-ups and scale-ups have demonstrated their resilience by breaking all previous records in raising venture capital. With the latest capitalraise by the medtech company Miracor Medical, a total of 748 million euros has been raised so far in 2020 by Belgian scale-ups, surpassing 2019's record of 745 million.

With 7 biotech companies in the top 10 largest capital rounds (incl. the nr. 1 spot), Belgium has once again secured its position as being one of the hotspots for life sciences in the world. Included in the list are the companies eTheRNA immunotherapies and Miracor Medical, who were also succesful in raising capital from Chinese investors, supported by Agio Capital & Business Solutions.

With still 4 months to go, there is no doubt that 2020 will surely be known as the golden year for Belgian medtech companies.
