Since May 1st, Kristof Mertens has joined Agio Capital as Director AgriFoodTech. With a background in Bioscience Engineering & Data Science, he gained strong expertise in developing companies from innovation to exit in the AgriFood sector. In 2013 he founded the KU Leuven spin-off Porphyrio, acquired by Evonik. Since 2022 he’s active in the AgriFoodTech scene to drive innovative venture building, both with startups/scaleups and established companies. At Agio, Kristof will work in the Capital team to support our customers in the field and to further develop the AgriFood business.
