Presenting the Belgian Life Sciences sector to Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium

From the 16th to 22nd of November, Agio capital & business solutions travelled with a large delegation of more than 630 Belgian businesses, entrepreneurs, government stakeholders and members of the royal family to China as part of the Belgian Princely mission. Both our departments of life sciences & healthcare, digital innovations and cleantech were present at the event. Stopping at the major cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Guangzhou, we met up with numerous Chinese VCs and partners to learn about their interests and focus points, whilst representing our client’s investment cases.

During the princely mission, we were honored that our director life sciences & healthcare, Henk Joos, presented an overview of the Belgian Life Sciences sector during a workshop hosted by Flanders Investment and Trade. In the audience to this workshop were numerous Chinese and Belgian officials, among which Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium and several National and Regional Ministers from Belgium.

Later on at a session of the mission at VOKA (Flemish Chamber of Commerce) we also presented the opportunities in the Chinese market for Flemish companies. The session was highly acclaimed and regarded as one of the best sessions of the mission.
